A few months ago, I started to draw walking mechs with cylinders at their core, and started to think about what options that would bring into how they could move about. I decided to model and rig a simple maquette and then try my hands at animating it, and this is the result.
Even though it's not perfectly aligned with my expertise, I greatly enjoy doing projects like this. As a designer, I believe it's important to try to break the limits of a sketch page and learn more about the work and skill required to bring it to life. /Jens
