After attending a game jam in the spring of 2018 I was interested in the concept of using 3d and procedural shaders to quickly create large numbers of pre rendered 2d assets. I wanted a style with clear blocks of colours and texture, and procedurally created patterns and symbols for pots (the staple of level design that they are) and played around with different solutions in blender until I arrived at what I used in this small project. Now simple, blocky 3d assets can be used to create all the colour variations and views my team would ever need at the next jam!
